This policy covers the Wingman app for iPad and iPhone, Wingman Hub for Mac, Wingman Cloud (the service behind accounts, plans and Ask Wingman) and this website. “Wingman”, “we” and “us” mean Brandon Bilsborough, doing business as One Sanctuary.
What stays on your devices
- Console control. Wingman talks to your WING over your local network. Console settings, scenes, names and meters go between your device and the console, not through us.
- Wingman memory. Notes Wingman keeps about your console, events and people are saved on your device. They're sent with Ask Wingman requests (below) but not stored by us.
- Room measurements. Audio from the microphone is analysed on the device or the Mac running Wingman Hub. It isn't recorded or uploaded. Tunes and room setups are saved on the device.
- Voice. Push‑to‑talk uses Apple's speech recognition, on the device where it's supported. Where it isn't, Apple may process the audio under its own privacy policy.
- Wingman Listen. In‑ear audio streams over your local network from the hub to the phones. To do this, phones send the hub their device name and network statistics (packets received, lost and late). The hub uses the name to show who's listening and who changed a mix. None of it is sent to us.
What we collect when you have an account
An account is optional for mixing and required for Pro and Team. If you create one, we keep:
- Sign‑in details: an account ID and your email address (from Sign in with Apple, which may be a private relay address, or from email sign‑in).
- Plan details: your plan, when it renews or ends, and the App Store transaction ID that links a purchase to your account. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see card details.
- Team details: the team name, invite code and members. The team owner can see members' email addresses; other members can't.
- Usage: how many Ask Wingman requests you make each month, which model handled them, and what they cost, so we can apply the plan's allowance. We also keep a short‑lived counter to limit requests per minute.
- Wingman Hub: for a paired hub, its name, an ID, and a one‑way hash of its key; for a team's Wingman Listen hub, its ID and name.
Ask Wingman and other AI features
When you use Ask Wingman, EQ suggestions, room summaries or other AI features, the app sends what you typed or said, a short recent conversation, a snapshot of the relevant console settings, your Wingman memory notes and, for room features, measurement results (numbers, not audio). Our server checks your plan and allowance, then passes the request to Anthropic's Claude API and returns the reply.
- We don't store prompts, replies or console snapshots. Our logs record the account ID, the feature, the cost and how the reply ended.
- Anthropic processes requests as our service provider under its commercial terms, which don't allow it to train models on this data.
- Free accounts never reach the AI service.
Who processes data for us
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting), in the United States: accounts, plans and the website.
- Anthropic: AI features, as described above.
- Apple: purchases, Sign in with Apple, speech recognition, and app distribution.
We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account exists. Usage counts are kept by month for billing and cost checks. When you delete your account, we delete your account record, usage, purchase links and hub keys. If you own a team, deleting your account ends the team for everyone.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete account.
- Cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the account doesn't cancel it.
- Clear Wingman memory and saved rooms in the app, or delete the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how it's used. Email us and we'll help.
Children
Wingman isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Musicians can use Wingman Listen without an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll also say so in the app.
